It seems unreal looking at her kindly face to recall the day, when I was young, that we had a spat. Both wanting to use the sink at the same time she got annoyed with me and tipped a saucepan of potatoes and water over my head. I retaliated by tipping a bowlfull of socks and sudsy water over her head. She was a bit shocked? The kitchen was awash! When dad came home she told him that the boiler tap had leaked.
